This Phalaenopsis Taipei Gold ‘Golden Star’ is an exquisite cross between a Gladys Read and the star shaped, bronze colored species Phalaenopsis venosa. This plant is very vigorous and produces long lasting flowers that are colored lemon yellow when first open but then deepen to a rich golden yellow after a couple of weeks. The waxy flowers have a heavy substance and are very long lasting. Each flower can last from 3 to 4 months. A single spray can bloom for 6 to 8 months and longer. This plant flowers heaviest in the late winter to early spring months. .
